I created an opening for my video podcast using Animoto. It's not free but it saved me so much time it was well worth the investment.

Animoto provides a library of themes you can pick from and they have tons of royalty free music or you can upload their own. I added the images and some text. You can also add video clips under 10 seconds.

The down side is that you don't have full control over the timing of the transitions but they pretty much correspond to the rhythm of the music.

If you're looking for a quick way to jazz up your video podcast you should give it Animoto try.

Thank you for the animoto idea. I just tested making a skype video of my creepercast podcast, and animoto worked great for a quick dynamic opening. http://www.creepercast.com/get…..tual-side/

I was able to use the free account to make a 30 second montague to insert into FCP. Saved me lots of time manually editing it together.
