TPS Ep. 041 – Autopost Your Podcast to Facebook, Archiving Content and Hardware Versus Software FX Processors

On this episode I talk about how to post your podcast feed to facebook automatically including an audio player and how to keep your podcast alive after you stop producing it and paying for hosting.

I also discuss the differences between using a hardware versus software based compressor/limiter/gate. This is a non-essential piece of equipment and all of it’sprocesses can be handled in post production, however there are some benefits to using a real one.

Steve, Thanks for the feedback. It's great to hear from someone else who has been dealing with this issue. It's disappointing that it appears Apple doesn't place a priority on podcasting. I think although it doesn't have necessarily tangible results in the form of direct dollars which they can monitor, it still brings in a ton of money for them.

Podcasting not only drives more people into the itunes store, it also puts more idevices in the hands of users. I find it hard to believe that they don't recognize this and it makes me wonder what the real issue is.

Cover art is such a vital part of their store that it's really strange that it doesn't get fixed. I wish we could get better answers on this.

Please keep me posted with any more details and or updates you get regarding this issue. It really helps to have as many people out there as we can getting answers to the stuff that is hard to find out or difficult to test on your own.
    Thanks again.

You're welcome. It's a fantastic app that has always been the only reliable method for getting an audio player onto facebook and all you have to do is set it up. It also has some nice customization once when setting up your feed for the app. Enjoy.

  3. When Ray says that he will get back to you right away because he doesn't know how long it will take to get on the show he was right. I left him a voice mail and he called me back within an hour. I didn't expect it or ask for it. Not many podcast hosts will do that, but Ray is one of the few that did. Thanks for everything you do.

  4. Hey, really thank you for sharing the info, now it's seems totally easy to post my podcast feeds on facebook. Thank you again !
