Excellent comments and feedback! I certainly plan to get a new mixer in the future but it has been nice to resolve the issue with the mixer I have since I would rather spend that money on gear I don't yet have;)

Thanks so much for the insight into podtrac. If you are extra motivated, I'd really appreciate you calling in your feedback about podtrac to the listener line at 925.567.3335. Let me know what you think of it, how it works (especially the process of inserting it into your feed) and if you'd recommend it to other podcasters? Or instead of calling, simply send me an audio file. You've already commented here which is overwhelming useful and if you can't send in audio it's not a problem. I will integrate this feedback on the next episode or in a Podcast Quick Tip or if you send in or call in the audio, I'l play it on the show and don't forget to get your plugs in for your show!

Thanks again!

Another great show!

Couple comments: We use Podtrac for our shows and it does a very good job of providing stats by episode, source, country and certainly by daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly depiction also. The Podtrac surveys are not mandatory, but are there for your use if desired.

I feel your pain in trying to get your compressor working with your mixer via aux sends/receives. We also have an Alesis mixer with a DBX compressor and the quality was just not correct when using a compressor through the Aux’s. We decided to change mixers and went with a Mackie with channel inserts and the quality change was immense. One thing to remember when using a mixer with channel inserts is to use insert cables. They are very different and specialized over a normal TRS cables. Great to hear you were able to get yours resolved without buying more equipment!

Take care
